The Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) in a skilled nursing center is responsible for overseeing daily operations and management of the entire facility to ensure it is in compliance with all state and federal surveys requirements. Administrators are also responsible for census development, resident/patient care, positive employee relations, and implementing facility programs.
Administrators must meet educational and/or experiential requirements to be a licensed administrator. Some administrator positions require an advanced degree in a related field. After submitting an application to the Florida Board of Nursing Home Administrators and completing a 650 college or university affiliated internship, or the 1,000 or 2,000 hour Administrator-in-Training (AIT) program in a skilled nursing center, an AIT must then pass the licensing exam
